The “Privée Rest” restaurant opened its doors in November 2023, by the catering group “PRIVЀE Group”, which chose for its operation number 45 of Nikis Avenue, overlooking Thermaikos. The name was chosen because it semantically refers to the basic value that runs through the entire organization: the desire and intention to offer an exclusive experience that will make customers feel special and happy. How do they accomplish this? Offering quality services that satisfy the personalized preferences of those who find themselves in their space.

Nikis Avenue may be “traditionally” and in the world’s consciousness “the street with the cafes”, however the place where the “Privée Rest” opened was deliberately chosen, as its owners aspire to offer a unique historical and not only experience, that encapsulates the glamor and vitality of this historic street of Thessaloniki. What do they want to offer? A place in the city, where one can drink their coffee with a tasty breakfast or brunch, have lunch or dinner and enjoy their drink, having common denominators of elegance, style and high quality.

Fusion proposals, from all over the world

The head Chef of the group is responsible for the menu, along with the Chef of the “Privée Events” team – the Group’s banquet facilities – since their purpose is to work under a common denominator. High quality ingredients, fresh, organic and handmade, are selected with care and absolute responsibility, to compose a menu that is, quite literally, a “culinary journey”. You will find flavors and dishes from different parts of the world, always with an emphasis on the quality of the ingredients and culinary excellence.

A typical example of the fusion philosophy of the “Privée Rest” team, is the Chilean sea bass fillet with chorizos, kakavia sauce and lime air, which is a harmonious composition of flavors and aromas from Greece and Latin America.

A “hidden gem” is the carbonara with handmade spaghetti, black pork guanciale, picorino cream and black pepper, while “Privée Rest” is, on special occasions, the only restaurant in Thessaloniki that offers traditional British Beef Wellington. It’s Uruguayan beef tenderloin, with carrot puree, parsnip and red wine sauce and it’s really tasty!

Also stand out are the premium cuts of meat, such as Ribeye, Kobe or Wagyu A5, ideal for meat lovers.

All the pasta is handmade and only organic chicken is used in the cooking, raised exclusively on corn.

Menu, for all hours of the day

If we catch the menu clockwise? For brunch you can try Jamón Serrano and Manchego Cheese Bocadillo, a classic Spanish sandwich, consisting of crispy slices of jamón serrano, soft Manchego cheese and Santorini cherry tomatoes, usually served on a fresh baguette, often drizzled with olive oil and a little salt. The flavor of jamón serrano – dried ham – is rich and spicy, while Manchego cheese is hard, with a buttery taste. The two together match the sweet touch of the Santorini cherry tomatoes and the deliciousness of the olive oil and salt.

At lunchtime, don’t miss the iberico pork fillet, one of the finest meats in the world, known for its delicate taste, unique texture and rich aroma. It consists of a piece of pork loin, surrounded by a thick layer of fat, which contributes to the deliciousness of the meat.

Finally, for the evening order a grilled tuna fillet with caponata – traditional Italian salad of eggplant, onion, garlic and oregano – capers and parsley oil. This particular dish combines the deliciousness of tuna with the strong taste of caponata and capers. The tuna fillet is grilled and retains its juicy, tender texture. The caper offers a spicy note to the dish, while the parsley oil completes the dish, as a light and aromatic sauce.

At “Privée Rest” you can enjoy freshly squeezed juices in various options and distinct coffee flavors such as cappuccino con pana or espresso affogato.

Its team has chosen to create a special signature cocktail list with a range of herbs and their special preparation techniques. In addition to the basic selections in wines and alcoholic beverages, you will find a variety of flavors in premium rum, whiskey and tequila, as well as special productions of branded wines, at affordable prices – the menu, after all, is aimed at all people.
