In Nikiti, Halkidiki, where the sea meets the heart of traditional Greek hospitality, Akrogiali 2 has been a cherished destination for more than a decade. Since its beginnings in 2004 as a small
taverna in Ormos Panagias, and from 2014 in its new “home” right on the shore of Nikiti, this
family-run business by Vasilis Tsaknis and his wife has continued to evolve with respect for
tradition and a commitment to quality—becoming a beloved spot for seafood lovers.

With roots in a family of fishermen and personal experience in selecting and trading seafood
(Vasilis previously ran a fish market), he knows the art of fresh fish like few others. This expertise is evident in every dish served at Akrogiali 2: from grilled large fish and fried small fish to
wine-braised octopus and shrimp pasta—all based on top-quality ingredients and homemade
recipes.

Freshness, Authenticity, and Flavor

The restaurant’s philosophy is clear: freshness, authenticity, and flavor. None of the dips are
store-bought—from the eggplant salad to the spicy cheese dip and handmade crab salad,
everything is prepared fresh daily in-house. The menu also includes traditional Greek cooked dishes such as moussaka, stuffed vegetables, and pastitsio—classic “mama’s recipes”—as well as meat options for those who prefer something beyond seafood.

The menu also surprises with inventive dishes, like the deconstructed dakos, refreshing salads with two types of dressings, Caesar’s salad with homemade dressing, buffalo burrata, seasonal greens, and refined salads.

Introducing the Sushi Bar

This year, Akrogiali 2 is taking another step forward by introducing an in-house sushi bar. It’s
already attracting a lot of attention, as the restaurant’s commitment to top-quality seafood makes it ideal for Japanese-inspired creations.
From fresh tuna or salmon nigiri to rolls featuring shrimp tempura, crab meat, salmon roe, or tuna, there’s a wide range of delicious options available daily.

A well-curated wine and spirits selection completes the experience—featuring fine wines,
whiskeys, vodkas, ouzo, and tsipouro to perfectly accompany a light meze or a full meal.

So, you can enjoy three distinct culinary experiences from three different menus: traditional Greek seafood and meze, fresh sushi, and refreshing cocktails or your drink of choice.

Idyllic Dining Moments

From early afternoon to late at night, you can enjoy your coffee or meal with a view of the sea and the Nikiti promenade. Just a few steps away lies the beach—ideal for a swim before or after your meal (the sea is only 50m from the restaurant). Especially in the evening, the Nikiti seaside
promenade becomes pedestrian-only, offering a peaceful dining experience.

The modern, summer-inspired decor creates the perfect setting to enjoy your meal with friends or family. The loyal clientele—Greeks as well as visitors from Bulgaria, Serbia, and other Balkan countries—is the best proof that here, tradition, quality, and friendly service all come together on one plate.

Tip 1: The kitchen operates daily from 13:00 to 23:30. You can also order coffee early in the
