The completely vegan philosophy of “Handwich” reflects the love for the planet and animals. Its owners, Avraam and Nikos, have been vegans since the 70s and 90s respectively, with passion and dedication to a lifestyle that respects the environment and every form of life.

The story behind “Handwich”

Based on its philosophy, “Handwich” consists of the following three basic “ingredients”: excellent taste, quality ingredients and sustainable production. Each meal is made with 100% vegan raw materials, which are carefully selected to ensure the best possible taste, maximum nutritional value and the smallest possible ecological footprint. “Handwich” does not compromise with anything less than the best for its customers.

Its owners themselves, after all, are activists for animal rights, among the first in Greece with a strictly vegetarian diet, as well as among the first vegans in Greece, before there was even a corresponding movement or other consumers or nutritionists who focused on this particular way of eating.

Following their experience and their love for animals, Avraam opened the business “Trofeas Vegan” in 2016, in Pedino Kilkis – initially with the production of vegan cheeses and continuing with doughs, cold cuts and other vegan delicacies, handmade and made from raw materials free of animal ingredients – while Nikos, for 15 years, has been the well-known Green Chef in Greece and Europe, a pioneer in vegan cooking and creator of menus in countless vegan restaurants.

Beyond that, you will find handwiches filled with smoked soy steaks, seitan souvlaki or kebab or pulled soy and Caesar’s (with chicken flavor), in Handwich or in salad.
