In March 2023, in eastern Thessaloniki, on 38 Georgiou Papandreou Street (formerly Antheon Street), a strong duo of daughter and mother who love food and especially burgers, opened their own street food hangout, “Paul’s Burger”. A series of American-style smash burgers, with ground beef, hand-made pickles and freshly cut cheddar, as well as delicious salads and a variety of finger foods, are waiting for us every day, to try them!

“Paul’s Burger” is named after the Polish-born Polina Magdalene Voclavek, the mother of Julia Voclavek. Known as Paul and Ju, they are mother and daughter, with Ju owning the shop. Together they take care of the best raw materials and our fast and flawless service every day, having chosen for their product something that is rarely found in Thessaloniki.

Their philosophy covers two main axes: “love at first burger” and “skinny people are easy to kidnap, stay safe, eat burgers”. With humor and fresh ideas, they welcome us every day.

Recently, “Paul’s Burger” was awarded by TOP100 OF GREECE as one of the 100 best businesses in its sector – in the Burgers Restaurants category – in Greece for 2023.

Original flavors for everyone

Lovers – and not only – of burgers, can find an impressive variety of proposals here. Each burger adheres to the rule of 100% ground beef (sourced from “Meating Place Didaskalou”, so the quality is guaranteed), smash burger (very thin beef burger), hand-made sweet pickle (as in the American tradition of burgers and generally the handmade preparation of ingredients), the McCein potato (for assured quality) and the brioche or rustic ciabatta type bread.

Try the Paul’s burger, with a quadruple patty, cheddar, onion, pickled cucumber, fried egg, fries and Paul’s sauce, the USA, to which bacon, onion rings, mushrooms and BBQ sauce are added, the Hot Stuff, with hot pepper, arugula , onion and sweet chili sauce.

For cheese lovers there is also the Cheesy lover burger option, with a triple burger, onion, mozzarella sticks and mustard sauce. The smashed shrimp burger stands out, with shrimp smashed with paprika, avocado paste and vegetables.

Build your own burger

For the most demanding, but also those with a… point of view, the ideal option is one and it’s called “Don’t Be Shy”. In this case, we say exactly what we want to try – without being embarrassed – and the people in charge do their best to serve us, preparing our own, custom made burger, exactly as we want it, adding or removing ingredients – depending on our taste preferences.

Salads and finger food

In the salads, proposals such as Caesar’s or prawns with avocado and in the finger food category the excellent onion rings or Paul’s nacho cheese, but also selected sandwiches, with mushrooms or with black angus steaks and aioli sauce, enrich the menu even more. It goes without saying that one must try their hand-made McCain Sweet Potato Fries, which literally go with everything!

For the little guests, a children’s menu is also available.
