Since June 2020, the Stefanos Fish Tavern Restaurant has been operating on the beach of Neoi Epivates, almost on the sea, and is a place where fish and seafood have their place of honor. Through recipes made in the kitchen by the owner’s mother, fresh and local catches, directly from the boats of Nea Michaniona and Chalkidiki, fresh vegetables and some selected meats, are served right next to the sea, in a location where everyone can relax, enjoying a unique meal.
As a whole, the menu of “Stefanos” includes traditional Greek flavors and suggestions that are everything you need, for a delightful meal after swimming or walking in the area.
Greek appetizers, well cooked
In addition to the spacious indoor living room, the outdoor area includes a balcony right next to the sea, protected from the weather with a special cover, which allows you to enjoy meals that literally smell of salt. There, next to the sea, even on tables on the sand, delicious and rich appetizers are served, with absolute value for money options, that make anyone want to go again and again.
Zucchini fries and hand-cut potato fries are among the first things to order. Large portions with fresh ingredients can open any meal in the most delicious way.
Among the suggestions in the salads, the green “Mama” stands out, with nuts, balsamic and croutons, and in the appetizers, the feta cheese with honey and sesame, as well as its spreads and the roasted eggplant and the bouyourdi.
Fish, seafood and meat options
As for appetizers and main courses, again, “Stefanos” is known for his “drunken” wine octopus and shrimp pasta – it is big enough for two people – which are the most special dishes that the menu includes every day, cooked with mastery.
Of course, the menu does not lack large and small fish from the neighboring waters. Sea bass and sea bream, but also smaller fish, such as anglers, fried or saganaki, sardines and of course all the classic, favorite seafood – squid, mussels and octopus, always fresh and in generous portions, are just some of the options on the menu. Here we also find harder-to-find species, such as crustaceans and various lobsters, which the owners make sure to procure.
The options on the menu also include selected meats, so that all the wishes of the customers are met.
Ouzo, tsipouro and namesake wine
For accompaniment, the cellar is complete and includes ouzo, tsipouro, selected wines and soft drinks, to be chosen according to one’s preferences. The restaurant’s namesake wine, “Stefanos”, stands out. It is produced in collaboration with a local winery and comes in white and red, suitable to ideally accompany any of our meals.
And whoever stays in the restaurant until late, enjoys the wonderful sunset. Overlooking the Thermaikos Gulf, the sun sets, leaving unique colors on the horizon, contributing to an overall experience, truly unforgettable!
