Dimitris Restaurant & Taverna has a story to tell—and a soul of its own. Established in 1994 by brothers Dimitris and Giannis Lenitsas, who combined their talents in service and the kitchen respectively, together with George Kyparissas at the grill, the small family-run business quickly became a favourite destination for both locals and visitors alike.

The second generation took over last summer, with Georgia Lenitsa and her cousin Kostas proudly continuing the family tradition. At the same time, they have refreshed the business with a modern new logo, a renovated dining space and a contemporary vision that remains firmly committed to quality, authenticity and value for money.

Fresh fish, premium local meats and an extensive selection of home-cooked specialities

Although the restaurant is not located directly on the seafront, it has earned an excellent reputation thanks to its authentic flavours, generous portions and an impressive selection of around 30 freshly prepared home-cooked dishes available daily. In fact, it is the only restaurant in the area offering such a wide variety of traditional cooked meals, which often sell out quickly.

The menu features beloved Greek classics such as moussaka, pastitsio and stuffed vegetables, alongside customer favourites including Corfiot sofrito, beef stroganoff, osso buco and schnitzel à la crème.

Meat lovers will appreciate the restaurant’s signature steak, while seafood enthusiasts can enjoy freshly caught fish delivered daily, along with a tempting selection of seafood dishes. The prawn pasta and fresh mussels are among the highlights we wholeheartedly recommend. Locally sourced shellfish from area fishermen and fresh produce supplied by local growers ensure every meal is rich in flavour, freshness and authenticity.

The carefully curated wine list showcases excellent labels from some of Halkidiki’s most respected wineries, including Porto Carras, Gerovassiliou, Konstantaras and Boutari.
