Never give up SKG is a fitness studio that first opened its doors in 2019. Its owner is Dimitris Tavlaridis, Personal Trainer, Fitness Instructor and certainly an ideal companion on the journey of exercise, health and well-being. His great love is calisthenics, which is a way of life both for him and for his students.

At the same time, he “swears” by the benefits of functional training, i.e. the training program that is adapted to the needs of each individual and that aims to improve the sports activity of a healthy athlete, but also to restore movement difficulties after a serious injury or illness.

A story and a path to which we bow

Those of us who know him, know that Dimitris Tavlaridis is a role model and a source of inspiration in the field of fitness – characterizations that he himself renounces, but we must convey them to you, as they perfectly represent him.

He himself was involved in athletics and sports in general as a child, but in his early adulthood he had not yet turned his hobby into a profession. Everything changed after a serious car accident that left him bedridden for 6 months. With the help of his doctor and the support of his family, he managed to walk again. From then on, the creation of Never give up SKG was a one-way street – and now you understand that the name of the gym has deep roots in the soul of its creator, a whole philosophy in which he reverently introduces his athletes.

Calisthenics in focus

Calisthenics is the training system used by the ancient Greek warriors and athletes, in order to achieve physical, but also spiritual “beauty and strength”. It includes mainly anaerobic exercises, with the main resistance being the same body weight of the athlete, using little or no equipment.

With the guidance of Dimitris, you will learn the right way to train with your body weight and above all, you will learn to “listen” to your body, your strengths and weaknesses.

More specifically, an average calisthenics workout plan includes:

– Basic progressive bodyweight exercises

– Combined body weight exercises

– Acrobatic gymnastics

– Hand balancing

– Isometric exercises

– Acrobatic and explosive exercises

– Exercises with resistance beyond the body weight itself

Many calisthenics exercises are easy enough for even beginners to master without running a high risk of injury, such as bodyweight squats and push-ups.

In addition, the training sessions are also combined with cardiorespiratory exercises, in order to achieve the best possible result for the athlete.

It is worth noting that the space operates daily, by appointment, both in the context of personal training and in that of small groups.

Discussions with your coach will be particularly instructive and useful for your subsequent course in calisthenics, so that you can train properly wherever you are, in whatever condition, without any equipment.

As the days go by, you will see how building a strong muscle mass in combination with the right stretches will steadily form your basis for increasingly difficult exercise routines and of course, increasingly exciting training experiences.

Last but not least, at Never give up SKG you will find the top vegan proteins Amino Animo, from 100% organic ingredients, of high purity and superior quality, in wonderful flavors.
