A contemporary studio where Pilates, yoga, rehabilitation and strength training come together through expert guidance and small-group classes.

Located in Konstantinopolitika, in eastern Thessaloniki, Sòmamu SKG is a modern exercise studio that has been taking a different approach to physical wellbeing since 2024. Its philosophy is centred around attentive instruction, correct technique and adapting exercise to the individual needs of each person, creating an environment where training feels purposeful and genuinely personal.

Pilates in all its forms

Pilates is at the heart of Sòmamu, with a range of methods and equipment offering a variety of ways to train. Reformer Pilates, Tower Pilates, Cadillac Pilates and Mat Pilates come together to create a comprehensive approach to exercise, helping to strengthen and tone the whole body.

Sessions focus on strength, movement control, flexibility and good posture, while continuous guidance throughout each class ensures that exercises are performed accurately and with the correct technique.

Yoga, Aerial Yoga and new programmes

The studio’s programme also includes Yoga and Aerial Yoga, offering different options for those looking to combine movement, flexibility, strength and relaxation.

More recently, Sòmamu SKG has expanded its programme with specialist classes such as Yoga Kids and Glutes & Core, providing greater choice and allowing participants to focus more specifically on particular muscle groups.

Rehabilitation and strength training

Exercise for rehabilitation and the management of musculoskeletal issues plays an important role in the Sòmamu philosophy. Its experienced team has extensive knowledge of musculoskeletal conditions and takes a careful, informed approach to exercise, considering the individual needs and circumstances of each person.

Strength training with weights is another option for those looking to build strength and improve their overall fitness. Sessions can be adapted to suit each person’s ability and goals, creating a well-rounded training experience.

Small groups, personal attention

Small-group training is a key part of the Sòmamu SKG approach, with classes limited to four participants. This allows instructors to give each person individual attention, continuously refine their technique and adapt exercises according to their level and goals.

Classes are organised by ability level, ensuring that training is appropriate for each participant’s experience and capabilities. This approach supports a safer and more effective progression, whether someone is taking their first steps into exercise or is already an experienced practitioner.

With opening hours from Monday to Friday, 08:00–13:00 and 17:00–22:00, and Saturday, 09:00–13:00, Sòmamu SKG also offers flexibility and a wide range of training times throughout the week.

Personal Training for more specific needs

For those who require a greater degree of individual attention, Sòmamu SKG also offers Personal Training. This may be suitable for more complex rehabilitation needs, athletes requiring targeted guidance, or anyone who prefers to train exclusively under one-to-one supervision.

In every case, the programme is designed around the individual’s needs and abilities, with ongoing guidance and support throughout the process.

Since 2024, Sòmamu SKG has been creating a different relationship with exercise: less impersonal, more focused and centred on quality of movement and correct technique. Its small-group format, experienced team and diverse range of programmes allow for a comprehensive approach, from rehabilitation and improved mobility to strength development and overall fitness.

Sòmamu SKG does not see exercise as a one-size-fits-all process. Instead, it places emphasis on personal guidance, small groups and specialist knowledge, creating a space where Pilates, yoga, rehabilitation and strength training come together to support a stronger, more flexible and more functional body.
