In the heart of Panorama, a place that has been synonymous with flavour and everyday indulgence for almost five decades continues to keep a tradition that began in 1977 alive. Tasos Trigona is a contemporary café-patisserie that combines the welcoming atmosphere of a popular meeting place with an extensive range of sweet and savoury creations.

Here, tradition does not mean standing still. The familiar flavours remain unchanged, while the selection continues to evolve, with around 300 products making up a menu designed to suit different moments of the day – from breakfast and coffee to a sweet treat, a light meal or an evening out with good company.

The Panorama triangles that have become a signature

Among the flavours most closely associated with the Tasos name are the famous Panorama triangles. Crisp pastry, rich cream and the distinctive taste that has made this dessert a Thessaloniki favourite come together in a timeless classic.

The same sweet trio also includes profiterole and Armenoville, two other popular creations with their own devoted following. The profiterole combines the familiar flavours of choux pastry, cream and chocolate, while Armenoville offers a distinctive frozen dessert for those looking for the perfect way to round off a meal or enjoy a delicious break during the day.

The trigonotourta made to order

One of the patisserie’s most distinctive creations is the trigonotourta, which was introduced around five years ago and quickly became one of its popular choices. What makes it special is that it is prepared at the moment it is ordered, offering an extra touch of freshness. It combines the appearance and character of a celebration cake with the signature element of the much-loved Panorama triangles, and has become one of the creations that truly stands out.

The patisserie’s range also includes chilled desserts, syrup-soaked sweets and celebration cakes, while custom-made cakes can be created for special occasions, with both the design and appearance tailored to each individual request.

From morning until night

The shop, however, is far more than a destination for something sweet. From the morning onwards, it welcomes those looking to start their day with a coffee and a warm, handmade savoury treat.

Savoury creations play an important role in the philosophy of the shop, with handmade pies prepared using traditional country-style pastry. The selection includes cheese pie, spinach and cheese pie, leek and cheese pie, chicken pie and meat pie, alongside fasting and vegan options featuring spinach, leek or mushroom.

The range is completed by bougatsa, peinirli and pizzas, creating a menu that works just as well for breakfast, a lunchtime break or a relaxed evening meal.

A place to meet

The Tasos experience comes with coffee, juices and drinks, while the venue serves as a welcoming meeting point in the heart of Panorama. During the summer months, the outdoor seating creates an even more open and sociable setting for coffee, dessert or food, with an overall capacity of around 300 guests. In winter, capacity is approximately 150 people, while retaining the warm and inviting atmosphere of the space.

Whether it is a quick stop for coffee and something sweet or a longer get-together over food and drinks, the focus remains the same – fresh flavours, handmade preparations and consistent quality.

Catering for every special occasion

The flavours of Tasos can also accompany special occasions through its catering services. Sweet and savoury creations, from much-loved desserts and baked goods to handmade pies and other treats, can be part of events, business meetings and personal celebrations, bringing the patisserie’s quality and familiar flavours to every occasion.

A new presence in Thessaloniki city centre

The story of Tasos Trigona, however, is now moving beyond Panorama. A new shop is expected to open this November in Thessaloniki city centre, at 111 Mitropoleos Street.

The new location will launch with a more focused selection, centred around the flavours that have become the shop’s signature: Panorama triangles, profiterole, Armenoville and ice cream.

From 1977 to the present day, Tasos Trigona in Panorama has continued to invest in what ultimately stays in the memory – pure, authentic flavour. Panorama triangles, profiterole, Armenoville and trigonotourta come together with handmade pies, peinirli, pizzas, coffee and drinks, creating a destination that can be enjoyed from morning until night.

With traditional flavours and freshly prepared creations remaining at its heart, the shop continues to evolve without losing the character that made it so well known. And now, with the new city-centre location just around the corner, this sweet journey is about to gain another stop…
