At Vouka restaurant in Afitos, Halkidiki, Greek tradition and flavors come together with refined and promising culinary artistry — all tied to a word that takes us back to childhood, to our mother’s and grandmother’s food, when they urged us to eat our “vouka”, the last bite. Soaked in olive oil, home-cooked dishes, salad, or soup — that final bite always held something magical, like a ritual. At Vouka, that ritual is honored daily. Just like you.
In the beautifully built stone setting of Vouka, which follows the local architecture, with bright colors and flowers, even the placemats gently remind you to enjoy every bite.
“Eat your vouka” — as if to say, “your strength,” your most beautiful taste memory of each meal. That’s what they aim to highlight here. Honoring their own grandmother, they invite you to savor every meal fully. The restaurant was originally opened by the family’s grandparents in 1967 and passed into the hands of their grandson in 2020.
