A favorite material, rich in taste and aromas – chocolate, in any form, melts in the mouth and floods us with pleasure, emotions and memories. You will hardly meet a person who does not “bend” before a chocolate bite, let alone when it hides within it all the art required to generously give this material all its graces.
Chocolate is alive, it has character and particularities, as Sophia confided to us, who since September 2022, has been enchanting the people of Thessaloniki and not only with her chocolate creations at “Oh la la chocolat”. Small bites of authentic joy are decorated every day in the windows of this beautiful place and make everyone feel like children. Aromas, colors, unique and handmade flavors give an unforgettable… oh la la experience to whoever tastes them.
The charm of chocolate
Chocolate is a material with a strong character, beautiful, elegant, but also delicate. It needs special treatment, correct temperatures, protection from moisture and delicate handling in order to perform at its best. Sofia needs to work non-stop to create all these delicious things as they are all handmade. Her reward is the change in the expression of the faces as soon as they taste the bite that will be offered as a treat while they decide what to choose first.
Chocolate bars, truffles, soft chocolate ganache and of course bon bons adorn the windows of “Oh la la chocolat” every day and resemble jewelry. So delicate, so refined and worked with an emphasis on every detail, they leave no one unmoved. The choices in flavors and combinations are imaginative, creative and beyond modern.
Especially the bon bons, which are also the great love of the creator, come in flavors and colors that impress even the most demanding customer. The fillings are all handmade, from the chocolate ones to the cookies and jams.
For example the bon bon cheesecake is a bite of real cheesecake. Jam, cream, biscuit, all made by hand, are closed in the chocolate casing and explode like fireworks in the mouth with a single bite.
Of course, excellent raw materials are chosen for all of this. Fine Belgian chocolates and other wonderful ingredients are combined, put into molds and… voila!
Classic and modern
Chocolate is classic and timeless, effortlessly. Sofia put it on more creative paths, wanting to go beyond the classics, to create more modern flavors that someone will love to enjoy, but also to offer as a gift to their loved ones.
How about a white chocolate with poppy seeds and lemon or with cranberries and peanuts? Or for a bon bon cheesecake, lemon pie, passion fruit or peanut butter and jelly? Of course, the wide range of “Oh la la chocolat” does not lack classic options such as bitter, gianduja, with whole hazelnut, but also with grated dried coconut for vegan chocolate lovers.
With studies at Codron Bleu in Paris, but also with chocolate seminars at the Callebaut school in Istanbul, Sofia really leaves nothing to chance and remains restless for new flavors and creations all the time.
After all, she owes her success to this. Already some product codes “travel” to Germany and Bulgaria, while future plans include the export of its products to other countries abroad.
Apart from the product itself, the packaging is also well thought out, thus creating the ideal conditions for a strong brand that can do well abroad.
We will close with Sofia’s motto which is none other than “do one thing and do it good”.
So do one thing and do it well. It’s worth the dedication, as evidenced by ‘Oh la la chocolat’.
