Set on a 32,000 m² estate, at a location often described as the “Acropolis” of Thessaloniki, “To Ktima” is a truly unique venue offering the best panoramic view of the entire city.

At this spot—specifically at 10 Ochi Avenue, in the Agios Pavlos area, right in front of the city walls—two twin brothers envisioned, eleven years ago, how this enchanting view could become accessible to everyone. Since then, they have been offering an all-day café bar where you can enjoy your coffee, breakfast, or lunch, as well as your evening drink or cocktail, while gazing out over the Thermaic Gulf and our beautiful city.

Until 2014, when this magical three-level venue first opened, the plot was accessible only twice a year, when the small chapel of Apostle Paul—located within the estate—would open its doors, offering visitors the opportunity for a parallel religious tourism experience.

Today, this spiritual atmosphere is enhanced by an imposing mosaic triptych that dominates the space, dedicated to the “Illuminated Teacher of the Nations.” The artwork, created by sculptor Aphrodite Liti and funded by the Philoptochos Brotherhood of Men of Thessaloniki, was unveiled in 2026 by Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and now stands as a modern landmark of faith and art, welcoming visitors throughout the year.

Flavors with a view, all day long

Beyond contributing to the city’s religious tourism, “To Ktima” café bar caters to all your desires for coffee, meals, and drinks on a daily basis.

In a relaxed and comfortable environment, filled with the scent of flowers and designed as a spacious area ideal for families with children, you can enjoy delicious meals, wonderful beverages, a wide variety of beers, and your drink of choice.

The menu includes everything from pancakes, waffles, pizza, ice cream, toast, club sandwiches, yogurt-based desserts, and egg dishes for breakfast, to sweet treats throughout the day, as well as traditional meze for tsipouro, bruschetta, salads, burgers, cheese platters, and special dishes perfectly paired with beer—ensuring a complete culinary experience.

As summer approaches, the bar also features a list of classic and signature cocktails, allowing you to enjoy the greenery and the stunning nighttime city lights. A “secret” that guarantees absolute tranquility at “Ktima” is the surrounding wall, which completely blocks out traffic noise, letting you relax freely and forget where you are.

Ideal for a quick escape from the city—while still being within it—and for a walk in nature in one of Thessaloniki’s most beautiful areas, “To Ktima” attracts visitors daily, especially in the summer thanks to the refreshing atmosphere it offers.
