Forget everything you thought you knew about sparkling water. SOUROTI Medium is redefining the way we experience hydration and premium dining, introducing a new philosophy centred on modern wellbeing. As Greece’s first naturally sparkling mineral water with gentle carbonation, it perfectly combines refined elegance with the expectations of today’s discerning consumer.
SOUROTI Medium: Greece’s lowest carbonation, internationally awarded
Launched in 2025, SOUROTI Medium quickly established itself as a standout innovation, earning the prestigious Superior Taste Award from the International Taste Institute in Brussels.
Its defining feature is its exceptionally gentle carbonation—just 4.9 g/L of CO₂, the lowest carbonation level available in the Greek market. This creates a smoother, softer drinking experience, ideal for those who appreciate subtle effervescence without the intensity associated with traditional sparkling waters.
Beyond enhancing taste, the lighter carbonation also supports the bioavailability and absorption of the naturally occurring minerals found in SOUROTI Natural Sparkling Mineral Water, allowing consumers to enjoy both exceptional flavour and the water’s natural nutritional qualities.
The perfect companion to fine dining
SOUROTI Medium has been designed to complement the world of fine gastronomy. Its delicate bubbles and gentle sparkle cleanse the palate between courses, allowing the aromas and flavours of each dish to shine through. The result is a more refined dining experience that perfectly accompanies contemporary haute cuisine.
Reflecting its premium positioning, SOUROTI Medium is available exclusively through carefully selected restaurants. Its sophisticated presentation further reinforces its identity: the bottle features elegant silk-screen printing depicting a map of the Sourοti region, celebrating the product’s deep connection to its natural origins, rich heritage and authenticity.
SOUROTI: Nature’s hidden treasure
The Sourοti spring is officially recognised as a therapeutic mineral spring, producing one of Greece’s most distinctive natural resources.
SOUROTI Natural Mineral Water begins its journey within the underground aquifer beneath the wider Sourοti region. Originating from rainfall and snowmelt, the water slowly filters deep through the earth over a period estimated to exceed fifty years.
During this remarkable underground journey, it passes through a variety of geological formations, undergoing natural filtration while becoming enriched with valuable minerals and bicarbonates that give the water its unique composition. Interaction with the area’s geological formations and geothermal environment naturally enriches the water with calcium, magnesium, lithium and silica, while naturally occurring carbon dioxide enables it to rise to the surface at the Sourοti spring, where it is bottled exactly as nature intended, preserving its exceptional characteristics.
Building on this unique mineral water, SOUROTI has also developed an extensive range of naturally flavoured sparkling waters, including Lemon & Lime, Pink Grapefruit, Mint, Mastiha, and Rose. Every variety delivers refreshing flavour with zero sugar and zero calories.
A brand that has earned the trust of generations
SOUROTI’s relationship with consumers extends far beyond a simple purchase. For generations, it has been part of family traditions and cherished moments across Greece.
From Sunday family lunches to festive celebrations and warm hospitality, SOUROTI has become synonymous with quality, care and authenticity.
At the same time, the brand continues to evolve, expanding into new areas of wellbeing. One of its latest innovations is a facial spray made with therapeutic mineral water, developed in collaboration with GARDEN.
110 years of heritage, quality and sustainability
This year, SOUROTI proudly celebrates 110 years of continuous history—a legacy built upon three enduring values: heritage, quality and sustainability.
The story began in 1915, during the First World War, when French officers discovered the exceptional quality of the local spring and established the area’s first rudimentary bottling facility. In 1917, Serbian forces constructed a new two-storey bottling building and named the water Kisepe Boda, meaning “slightly acidic water”.
Its outstanding quality soon gained widespread recognition. In 1930, Greek Prime Minister Eleftherios Venizelos publicly declared that the water was comparable to the finest mineral waters in Europe.
In 1935, the Sourοti spring received official recognition as a therapeutic spring, confirming its exceptional natural value. Ownership later passed to the local community with the establishment of a Community Enterprise in 1987, before SOUROTI adopted its modern corporate structure as a public limited company in 1998.
Since the early 2000s, the company has continued to invest in state-of-the-art production facilities, product innovation and international expansion. Throughout its evolution, SOUROTI has successfully balanced respect for its rich heritage with a forward-looking commitment to innovation, while remaining firmly guided by its core values of quality, sustainability and authenticity.
Today, inspired by both nature and science, SOUROTI continues to shape its future through environmentally responsible growth and circular sustainability initiatives—including its returnable glass bottle system—demonstrating that genuine innovation flourishes only when it is rooted in strong foundations.
